Battling influenza
53
Battling influenza in my chair,
I'm sure with visible dispair,
I tried to cope with the virus that ails me,
But unfortunately I was using the wrong kind of therapy.
My head does quite ache,
from the wears of the day.
My nose a vessel for fluids previously thought to be extinct,
What exactly has gotten a hold on me?
Stomach feeling queasy, but no rest for the weary,
I cough and I sneeze, everything is awful dreary.
Surrounded in darkness because light causes pain,
Normal everyday life has now become a drain.
Everyone is asleep, so not a soul I will bother,
Still adjusting the fact of becoming a father.
Thoughts are all jumbled, medicine has just kicked in,
Double dose of cherry flavored Robitussin.
Lucid dreaming, now this is something new,
Due to recent developments, I have forgotten all about flu

It's the honesty I like. I don't know you to say for sure but feel some things are just hard to fake. Even on the net. As is in all your hubs.

You have one very interesting style. When reading your stuff I find myself smiling. Don't really know why! But I'll start following you and try and figure it out!
Robitussin is tasty indeed!
